伊格·佩西斯（丹尼尔·雷德克里夫 Daniel Radcliffe 饰）和梅琳·威廉姆斯（朱诺·坦普尔 Juno Temple 饰）是一对自幼青梅竹马的男女朋友，但在一年前的某天，他们的人生发生了翻天覆地的巨变。两人在森林里约会时，梅琳被人残忍杀害。在此之后伊格作为犯罪嫌疑人遭到警方调查，不过最终他被无罪释放。重获自由身的伊格对梅琳久久无法忘怀，而来自周遭的谴责和质疑更让其痛不欲生。在哀悼梅琳的夜晚，伊格恼羞成怒，做出亵渎神明的举动。次日一早，他惊讶地发现自己长出一对魔鬼的角，而且似乎凡是接近他的人都会变的举止古怪，当彼此接触后更会窥见对方的内心世界。 烦恼不已的伊格，很由此发现梅琳遇害背后的隐情和真正凶手……。钟馗之妹钟情于男妓民，加上馗妹再不嫁就永世不能投胎，钟馗与妹遂共盗生死册，以寻法延续民仅有三日的性命，因而与判官大打出手，最后与三小鬼逃上阳间。钟馗发现民乃是男妓，故对其妹决定不甚赞同，而馗妹与民更有了肉体关系。民不堪钟馗等人多番纠缠，暗中找道士九欲收伏钟馗等人，一场大战就此展开……。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
