Soon their suspicions are confirmed as their father hi...。小学生王葆（朱祺隆）天真活泼喜欢幻想，每当在学习上碰到困难，或在课余生活中遇到麻烦时，他就幻想有一个神奇的宝贝出现来帮他轻松地实现目标。某天，王葆在钓鱼时偶遇传说中能帮主人实现任何愿望的宝葫芦（陈佩斯 配音），喜出望外，宝葫芦不但帮王葆钓到了鱼、做成高级模型、完成课外作业，还变换成各种形状令他开心。 王葆在学校里突飞猛进的表现令同学们大为惊诧，刘老师（梁咏琪）也改变了原来看他的目光，而宝葫芦助他在泳池中大显神威，轻易获得参加校队的机会后，他的生活更是接近完美。然而，王葆逐渐发现宝葫芦原来不分青红皂白，只懂盲目服从……。
