"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。在这个看起来和平的世界背后，其实隐藏着光怪陆离的奇妙世界。李遥是现实生活中的普通人，因缘际会之下加入了神秘组织，以为从此可以摆脱平庸小人物的命运，不料却因此葬送了自己唯一的两个亲人。暴怒之下的李遥触发了原本隐藏在体内深处的特殊力量，平凡的生活从此有了有改变，李遥也因此发现了自己原本的身世。当正义与邪恶共存，为了爱与信仰，李遥挺身而出，选择勇敢的站出来击退邪恶势力，这个世界，正义终将战胜邪恶。。
